National Level Product Creation and Entrepreneurial Competition

For the information of the faculty, SM Aquaculture Science students have been selected to represent UMT in the national level product creation and entrepreneurship competition organised by UMK-KPT and UMT-KPT. The Aquavore group (years 1 and 2 of SM Aquaculture Science) created fish food products based on local ingredients. The group received a fund of RM5500 from UMK’s The Next Big Thing programme while the Sea-Bar group (year 2 of SM Aquaculture Science) created a seaweed-based energy bar and received a start-up fund of RM1000 from the FEAST programme, UMT. Both groups will compete in the finals in November with participants from other public universities.
