Competitive Community Program: Soap Production (Progressive RT Elective Program), located at Dewan Tok Amat/ Gong Kassim, Marang. The project was organized by the Rukun Tetangga Area in collaboration with the Marang District National Unity and Integration Office and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. Representatives from the FPSM food laboratory staff led by Ms. Fadlina, assisted by Ms. Azni, Ms. Suhana, Ms. Suzana, Ms. Aniza and Ms. Faridah were invited to join this community to produce soap from used cooking oil. The community was introduced to the basics of making homemade soap (from used cooking oil), safety when making soap, basic soap formulations, how to make soap, the preservation & storage process and understanding the benefits of recycling used cooking oil.
